Will there be a commentary?

Yes, our route is commented in 7 languages: Arabic, English, Russian, German, Chinese, Spanish and Urdu. The buses are provided with a GPS-triggered audio system. You will get a free headset upon arrival on the bus with a valid ticket.


Is there an Internet connection in your buses?

Yes. You can connect to the wifi right after you hop on the bus. It is free of charge and no password is required.


How long is my ticket valid?

Depending on which option of the tickets, you will go for. It will be a 1-day pass or 2-day pass from the moment you validate your ticket with City Sightseeing staff, passengers can get on the buses along the route unlimited times based on the daily operational hours.


Is the ticket valid for one route or all the routes?

You can use your ticket for any route. The 1-day pass entitles you to enjoy the Cultural (green), Leisure (red) and Night (blue) tour. The connecting point of the Cultural and Leisure tour is in Central Souq (bus stop No. 1).

  • Please note that Cultural ( Green) line is not operational till further notice.

The 2-day pass ticket entitles you to take the Cultural (green), Leisure (red), and Night (blue) tours, and free access to many attractions.


What does the 1-day pass include?

The 1-day pass is sightseeing in Sharjah only. You can use all the routes of City Sightseeing Sharjah and you are entitled to avail of many discounts for restaurants, shopping or attractions. Kindly refer to the information on our flyers or ask our friendly staff.


What does the 2-day pass ticket include?

The 2-day pass is the package, which gives you free access to many attractions along the bus route, it includes:

  • Leisure Tour, Cultural Tour, and Night Tour
  • Free entry to Sharjah Aquarium (Bus Stop # 9)
  • Free entry to Al Noor Island and Butterfly House (Bus Stop # 3)
  • Free entry to Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilizations (Bus Stop # 17)
  • Free entry to Heritage Museum (Bus Stop # 16)
  • Free entry to Al Mahatta Museum (Bus Stop # 21)
  • Free entry to Sharjah Maritime Museum (Bus Stop # 9)

Is there a discount for purchasing in advance?

No.


If I purchased the ticket in advance, do I have to take the tour on a given day?

No. This is a major advantage of our tours. They are flexible. If you purchase in advance, the ticket is valid for 3 months from the date of travel specified on your booking.


Is any attraction entry included in the cost of the tour ticket?

City Sightseeing Sharjah ticket offers its holder the possibility to enjoy many discounts and rewards in many museums, restaurants, attractions, and shops in the city. You can always refer to the information on the flyer or approach our staff.


Does my ticket give me any more added benefits?

Yes. Retain your ticket because it gives you a 10% discount off your next City Sightseeing tour ticket in any City Sightseeing destination worldwide to be used within 12 months.


Where can I buy my ticket from?

  • On the bus at any bus stop along the route
  • From our sales staff at the main stops: Al Majaz Park, Al Qasba, Central Souk, Mega Mall and Sahara Centre
  • From your hotel, agency desk or selected shops

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. Credit cards are also accepted.

Can I pay with Euros, Dollars or any other foreign currency?

Foreign currencies are accepted. Please check with our staff for the exchange rate.


Will we see all the major sights?

Yes. Our tour routes are the most comprehensive way to see Sharjah.


What is the duration and timing of the tour?

The tour consists of 2 routes: Cultural (green) and Leisure (red). The Cultural tour takes 1 hour and the Leisure tour 1 hour 30 minutes approximately. The frequency between buses is approximately 30 minutes during the year and 50 minutes during the summer season.

  • Please note that Cultural ( Green) line is not operational till further notice.

There is a bus-timing schedule on each bus stop pole.

Buses are running from Central Souq - Bus Stop No.1:

A regular time of the year:
Daily tour (Cultural and Leisure tours): 11a.m. to 10 p.m.
Night tour (blue tour): Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

What are hop-on hop-off stops?

City Sightseeing Sharjah buses operate on agreed continuous routes. Along these routes, there are key points of interest and attractions. Our hop on - hop off stops are carefully selected to enable you to visit the most interesting tourist places Sharjah offers. Simply hop off at any bus stop you want and return to the same stop to continue your tour by taking the next bus.


Are tour buses very frequent?

The regular frequency is 40 to 45 minutes, except for the summer season (June, July, August and September) when the frequency is 60 minutes. However, timing can be affected by traffic conditions during peak hours during the day.


Do all tours operate year-round?

Yes. Buses are running daily.


Can we join the tour at any stop?

Yes, the tour commentary is linked to stops, so if you stay on the bus you will always hear the full commentary. However, we recommend you start the route at bus stop No. 1 at Central Souq. That is also the connecting point of the Cultural and Leisure tour.


What is the best way to use the hop-on and off facility?

If you are unfamiliar with Sharjah, we recommend you take one complete circuit and listen to the commentary. You can then decide which places you would like to visit, and you can re-use the bus as you wish with your 1-Day Pass ticket.


Will we be able to recognize the bus stops?

Yes, our bus stop poles are branded and numbered, with timing and useful information on it.


Do tours operate Fridays?

Yes, we operate 7 days a week.


Do you provide a hotel pick-up?

No, because we must operate a tour route and timings. However, in several instances, hotels are situated close to a City Sightseeing tour bus stop.


Can wheelchair users travel on your buses?

Yes. Our buses are equipped with wheelchair access facilities and there is a reserved space for them on every bus.
